Problem

Feelings are fleeting, but journaling always gets put off

The moments that move us arrive all of a sudden. Right after a meeting, on the way home, before falling asleep, when someone's words linger. But writing in those moments isn't easy. Momentary was made so you don't miss those very moments.

When a blank page feels heavy

You don't have to agonize over the first sentence.

When emotions are complicated

Momentary calmly organizes the feelings you put into words.

When a thought just passes by

Capture it the moment it comes, and look back on it later.

When you want to know yourself more

Through your collected moments, you can see the flow of your emotions and thoughts.

Solution

Momentary turns your words into a single moment

It doesn't have to be a perfectly polished sentence. Feel free to speak the emotion you feel now, a thought that just came up, or a feeling that's hard to explain. Momentary transcribes your voice and, keeping your own tone, organizes it into a single moment with a title, mood, keywords, and a journal entry.

How It Works

Just focus on the moment of speaking

Momentary is designed so you can start journaling at the very moment a feeling or thought arises. When you start recording, the screen switches to a dedicated view — leaving only a live waveform, the elapsed time, and a done button — so you can focus on the thought at hand.

A moment when small feedback lingered

Anxious

The feedback I heard in the meeting just now stayed with me longer than I expected. The words themselves weren't much, but to me they felt like a sign that I'm not enough. Even after the meeting ended, that scene kept replaying, and a part of me wouldn't settle easily. Maybe this anxiety is connected less to the feedback itself, and more to my wish to do well and be recognized. Rather than reaching a conclusion right now, it might be okay to slowly look at why I felt this way.

The feedback I just got in the meeting has stayed with me. It wasn't a big deal, but it made me feel like I'm not good enough, and that scene keeps replaying in my mind.

Reflect

Your collected moments become a conversation that helps you understand yourself

Momentary's AI mentor looks back on your current emotions and thoughts together with you, based on the moments you've left. If you have an entry from today, it centers on today's flow; if you have recent entries, it offers a more contextual reflection based on your most recent moments. You can reply by voice or by text. When you want to keep going out loud, use your voice; when you want to take your time, write it out.

Look back on my moments

AI Mentor

In your recent moments, a sense of responsibility and fatigue often appeared together. What are you holding up the most these days?

You

I keep feeling like I can't let go of my work.

A line that remembers you, each time you return

Today's greeting

PRO

In your recent records, I sensed both anticipation for a new start and a little tension. Today, rather than doing it perfectly, it's okay to focus on starting small.

From the founder

The person who built this app

Momentary began in the summer of 2023, in the time of saying goodbye to Minam, the cat who had been my companion for twenty years. For a year and a half I stayed home, and the voice diary I recorded while crying without a sound became the app's very first form. Even after Minam was gone, I kept writing in it every day for two years, then let it sit untouched for a while — and recently I brought those records back to life as a complete app. I hope many of you come to feel the same fullness I felt while using Momentary.

Reflection over judgment

Rather than labeling or evaluating emotions, Momentary helps you look inward through open questions.
